Christmas Nativity work (by code club)

On Wednesday, in code club, we started to make a Christmas/Nativity game. But I and my partners made a game with a story behind it as well!

Lamiek and I took lots of  pictures.They  weren't finished yet :( so they won't be as good.

I was with Vera and Keira. BUT I wanted to be with Luke and Lamiek.

On Wednesday, in code club we started to create an exciting Christmas Nativity scene in Scratch.
I (Lamiek) was with Starly and Joelle. Me and Arun were bloggers so we had to take pictures of the  children's work. Sometimes some of the years 5 and 6's didn't let me take a photo of their work!

This week in code club we were editing a movie made by the Year 3 After-School video club. We used Windows Movie Maker  to make it into a proper movie.

We did this by watching the scenes that Year 3 had filmed. It is a silent movie because all you could hear was Mrs Pearson shouting at them things like "Show the phone to the camera!!!" and "Click inbox, no I said click inbox and wait!"

In Code Club we have been using Scratch to make Scratch say some random sentences which have verbs, nouns, adverbs and adjectives. Only 6.1 had been doing this in their I.C.T and they showed us how to do it on Wednesday. One of our Code club members, Alanna, has been trying it out making Scratch say some random numbers in different orders and tried to go advance by making some sums up. Mrs Pearson had made some silly sentences like "Stand up Vera you got 2hps" which was fun and silly at the same time. Some people like Keira and Ohemaa had been making the most weirdest and silliest sentences together.

We needed to get some certain commands to make a verb, noun, adverbs and adjectives box where we filled them out. Other commands were when the green flag is clicked Scratch says something random.

This week in Code Club we have been using SketchUp to create a house to put our sculptures inside. The hard bit was to get the right amount of space in the house. Some of the year fives showed the year sixes how to colour in the buildings and to make it 3D. We decorated our houses and we used some program that let us twist things around. Karis had the best house because it was tall and wide. Some of us used fencing to make a  brick wall. Luke's house was the silliest because it was twisted around. Vera made a swimming pool and we also made things like a tower building. Some of us made windows by pushing back blocks to make it look like windows.

SCRATCH!!

This week in codeclub we have been learning about Scratch.We have been making our sprites move (which are characters).

 It is a lot of fun doing this because they can dance, if you have fruit then you can change the into how the fruit is cut and how it looks,you can do all types of things! If you want to try this out then type Scratch on your computer and I hope you do because it is a lot of fun. Another thing you should know is that you have to download Scratch if you wanted to get it.

Code Club Fun

This Wednesday at Code Club we went on a game where we created our own games, we all tried to make our games as best as we could.After, we decided to try each others games and which was really fun.

First day of code club

The first day of Code Club was exotic; we used the new feature on Espresso Coding called Python.On Python you can make the computer print things like your name, your hobbies and favourite things. You can also make the computer do things like calculations. For example if you type in 10 + 10 the computer will print 20.Espresso was beta testing Python and we did find some bugs that we are going to report to them.

First day of Code Club was a blast: we first went on a BBC site and checked what job we would have as our future ICT job Many people got the same thing like an Artist Dynamo etc. What do you think you would get? Well you can go on the site and check what you get: BBC iWonder .This was fun because you kind of get to know what your future job is and you get to know how much money you would get. How fun is that?!
